Why Become a Boise Goathead Fest Volunteer?
Boise Goathead Fest is pedal-powered and people powered. Volunteers are the folks that help build Boise Goathead Fest from the ground-up, run the show, and then break it down year after year. Help us celebrate our community’s efforts to pull thousands of pounds of goatheads off our streets! We want Boise Goathead Fest 2024 to be bigger and better than ever! By becoming a volunteer, you’ll help the smashin’ show go on.

Volunteer Roles

Serve the crowd Lost Grove beer at the festival! TIPS certified? Even better, but not required to sign up! Tasks include collecting tokens, pouring beer, and putting smiles on the faces of thirsty festival goers.

Sell the tokens needed to redeem refreshing beer and tasty ice cream to festival participants. Tasks include collecting cash, making card transactions, and distributing tokens quickly.

Calling all bike lovers! Your job is to show people how to park their bikes on BBP’s stands and get people pumped to be at the festival. This is a fun job for groups, couples, and singles.

Get ready to wrap it up! The party's over, but there's still work to be done. We’ve mastered the saying, "many hands make light work." Join the final all star crew that brings it on home.

Get the festival ready to rock and roll! Help set up the areas needed to make the show go on.

Keep our park clean and green! Interact with festival attendees and educate them on how to recycle properly. This is a great job for groups, couples, and singles.

Medical responders are incredibly important volunteers! Keep parade participants safe & rolling. CPR/First Aid Certified REQUIRED and EMT-B/AEMT/Paramedic preferred.

Become our go-to merchandise representative of all things Boise Goathead Fest. You’ll help facilitate the transaction of moola for awesome swag! Tasks include collecting cash, making card transactions, and helping people get excited about Boise Goathead Fest.

Help register parade participants in our designated registration area or become a roamer that cruises through the crowd to register as many people as quickly as possible. Tasks will include collecting cash, card transactions, recording donations, and giving high fives!

Be a point-person for all festival volunteers coming and going. Communicate information for all volunteer roles, hand out volunteer swag, and steer volunteers towards their meeting place and shift leaders.
How Volunteering Works
We try to make volunteering with Boise Goathead Fest simple and straightforward! Here’s what you can expect once you sign up to become a volunteer.
Once you sign up to become a volunteer, you’ll receive a confirmation email letting you know that we received your submission!
You’ll receive a digital volunteer handbook giving you all the in’s and out’s of what to expect during the festival. This includes the event schedule, maps, details, and more.
Around the same time you receive your volunteer handbook, you’ll be assigned to a volunteer lead. They’ll be in contact with you for additional steps and instructions you’ll need before the event.
